A small drop of dish soap will speed things up quite a bit, as it’s designed to cut through those greasy smudges. Dampen a clean, soft, lint-free cloth with water, then wipe the screen. To prevent accidental re-smudging with your fingers, hold MacBook by its upper edge or by the keyboard. Apply slight pressure to wipe all the prints out, but do not use any excessive force. Someone please chime in if I’m incorrect, but from what I understand, the main issue with cleaners and apple laptops in the past had to do with using harsher chemicals (including things like rubbing alcohol, which are often used to clean electronics), and those not playing nice with some of the screen coatings. Clean your computer’s screen Shut down your Mac and disconnect its power cord and any connected devices. After the device is unplugged, buff it in small concentric circles with a piece of clean, dry microfiber or lint-free cloth.
BEST WAY TO CLEAN MAC SCREEN FREE
Make sure it’s free of debris first, so you aren’t creating scratches by swirling those little bits around your screen! If it’s particularly stubborn, I believe a small amount of dish soap is perfectly safe. Dry With Microfiber Cloth Use a dry microfiber or similar lint-free cloth.
Wipe Down Take your water-dampened cloth and wipe down the same area. Be careful not to get any excess liquid on the computer and be gentle when wiping. Wipe down the MacBook screen, keyboard, and track board.
It often will take a few passes to get all smudges off. Spray the solution onto a soft cloth, not the Macbook. As others have said, microfiber (or something like Kimwipes, which are disposable) with water generally works.
